Cape Town luxury experiences and events will always be intrinsically linked with style, and what could be more stylish than a fancy fashionable hat?
Whether you are attending a day at the races, High Tea or a formal garden party you can take your outfit to new heights and be among the very best-dressed after a visit to the Little Hattery in Hout Bay.
Join the ranks of Charlie Chaplin, Queen Elizabeth and cowboys everywhere when you head off to your next outing with a bespoke fabrication from this enigmatic design studio. The Little Hattery is not just about headwear though, they operate in the realm of all that is unusual and unique. Masks, waistcoats, goggles and bustiers are some of their other specialities, as worn by celebrities all over the country and featured in the circus shops of the sadly closed but unforgettable Madame Zingara dinner theatre.
If glitter, glitz and steampunk style are not your thing, the team is willing and able to tone it down as you require, with a more traditional albeit unique design.
The Little Hattery is firmly focussed on quality above quantity, with each creation designed from scratch according to your requirements. Orders are by appointment only, giving you the exclusive opportunity to meet with the design team to discuss your particular needs. You are encouraged to bring along ideas, images or examples of what you have in mind to facilitate the creative process.
Only premium materials are used in the creation of every item, which is carefully crafted by hand and assembled using both traditional techniques and the latest technology, to ensure that each masterpiece lasts as long as the memories that it helps to create.
Founded by Dom Marszalek and Kerry Hillier, who started out making hats in their apartment, The Little Hattery has grown to become the go-to place for modern-day millinery and currently has over 100 orders on their books at a time.
In order to maintain their creative energy and attention to detail, once the order book is full – The Little Hattery, currently in “hibernation”, retreats into ‘creative time’ and closes their doors to engage in the design process uninterrupted, so make sure you book well in advance if you require a hat for an important luxury Cape Town occasion.
