With summer’s warm kiss, beautiful beaches and scenic views, Cape Town’s beaches along the Atlantic Seaboard are the epitome of luxury Cape Town.
In celebration of this spectacular setting, many tourists and locals alike gather at the end of the day to sip on an exotic looking drink in the glow of the sunset. Sundowners have become part of a Cape Town tradition, which in my view is not a bad way to end off a long day after work or to greet the weekend.
So when it comes to sundowner options, there are so many spots to choose from, some with mountain views, some with beach views and others with the glow of the city before it comes alive for the night. I thought that a good place to start would be the luxurious Camp’s Bay Seaside strip. At the foot of the Twelve Apostles Mountain Range, you will find yourself in a tropical paradise with white sands and blue waters gracefully reaching the shore. This is where the luxury of Cape Town meets the ocean vibe. Stylish cafés and bars offer a little something for everyone as you unwind with the chilled out music and conversations of Cape Town’s beautiful people.
Here are a few must-do spots in Camp’s Bay. The Greek influenced Mezepoli has elegant décor, effortlessly blending in with the luxury and beach vibe of Camp’s Bay. Then there is the cosmopolitan Café Caprice with a great variety of people and cocktails. Also try the more laid-back but still chic Grand Café.
Of course, no matter where in Camp’s Bay you go to sip on a bit of sun, you will share in a bit of the magic that Cape Town has to offer. And I guarantee you the experience will be priceless… Cheers!
